Collaboration to help health app innovators

The Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) & ORCHA (Organisation for the Review of Care and Health Applications) signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at supporting the use and development of the best health and care apps in Yorkshire and Humber.

Recognising the growing importance and opportunities of apps in healthcare our work with ORCHA means that we are now able to help you navigate over 165,000 health and care apps that are on the market and gain an understanding of both the associated risks and benefits of each one before you download it. To find the best health apps to help you live a healthier life, visit www.orcha.co.uk and start searching.

If you’re an app developer in the Yorkshire and Humber region you can access a wide range of app development related support to help you make your app the best it can be, and help its market presence. For example, you can access a voucher which means that for £50+vat you can have your app reviewed against ORCHA’s 118 point review model, and receive a report outlining areas of strength and potential development for your app within a week. Your app then goes onto all of ORCHA’s portals to be seen by the public and health and care professionals alike.
