The National Institute for Health Research Child Prosthetics Research Collaboration is to hold four workshops across the country to tackle some of the biggest issues and opportunities for child prosthetic technology and service provision.
Children and families, healthcare professionals, academics and industry experts are invited to the ‘Sandpit’ events, which form part of the plans for Phase Two of the Starworks Project.
There is the potential to apply for Proof of Concept funding for any of the ideas generated through the creative and collaborative activities on each day.
The workshops will take place as follows:
- September 18 2017: Socket Interfaces, The Landing, Salford
- September 28 2017: Upper limb personalisation and adaption,@Bristol, Bristol
- October 7 2017: Lower limb personalisation and adaption, Wellcome Collection, London
- October 21 2017: Service Journeys, ICE Sheffield
