The Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network and SBRI Healthcare are inviting individuals and organisations to learn more about the upcoming SBRI Healthcare funding competition “Cancer: Screening, Earlier Diagnosis & Faster Diagnosis,” which will open for applications at the end of July.
The free briefing event will take place on Wednesday 26 July from 10am to 1pm at Horizon, 2 Brewery Wharf, Kendall Street, Leeds LS10 1JR.
SBRI Healthcare is an NHS England funded initiative led by the Academic Health Science Networks to develop technology solutions for known healthcare challenges. The next funding round focuses on finding innovative solutions with the ability to transform screening, accelerated diagnosis and management of cancer
SBRI Healthcare welcome applications from companies with solutions that can enhance the screening, diagnosis or management of cancer. Successful applicants can receive up to £100,000 of funding for phase one (feasibility) and up to £1 million for phase two (development) for solutions that match the needs of the NHS. This briefing event will provide further details about the competition specification and application process and support available to companies across the region and the opportunity to present questions to the panel.
This will include representatives of SBRI Healthcare, Yorkshire & Humber AHSN, the University of Leeds and the Leeds Centre for Personalised Medicine & Health.
Registration is from 10am for a 10.20am start with a networking lunch served from 12pm.
