The Yorkshire and the Humber Academic Health Science Network has sponsored work to help NHS member organisations understand how relationships with commercial businesses can accelerate innovation and contribute to the need to improve sustainability of local health systems.
We are especially keen to benefit from your experience at a workshop that we are holding at Horizon, Third Floor, 2 Brewery Wharf, Kendall Street, Leeds, LS10 1JR on 18th April at 14:00 – 16:00. This will pull together views and ideas generated at previous Webex conferences together.
The workshop is designed to help shape the guidance emerging from this work and ensure that it is practical and helpful to those responsible for driving local improvements. The workshop will be highly interactive and is structured to:
- share the insight gained in the research;
- enable reflection on case studies of successful innovation through partnership;
- contribute to the shaping and refinement of practical guidance;
- strengthen local innovation networks.
The workshop will be led by Dean Fathers and David Welbourn, both visiting professors at Leeds Business School, each of whom has extensive experience of leadership and governance across systems and partnerships, both within the NHS and in commercial blue chip organisations.
This is an important piece of work to support the new STP footprints to spread best practice in partnership for innovation and we hope you will support it.
If you are interested in attending the workshop, please confirm your attendance by emailing Christine.Johns@yhahsn.com as places are limited.
