Building Diversity in Digital Health
This event is a collaboration between NHS England, the Shuri Network and the Yorkshire & Humber AHSN and will be held online on Wednesday 23 September (13:00-16:00) and Thursday 24 September (10:00-13:00).

About the event
Why now?
With 19.1% of staff in the NHS identifying as BAME, an inclusive leadership community reflecting the diversity of the NHS workforce and the population served is essential. This event will shine a spotlight on the challenges that exist to ensure diversity and inclusion supports the innovation and transformation ambitions for the communities they serve. The content will also reflect on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter campaign.
For who?
This event will appeal to members of the BAME community within health and care providers and healthtech start-ups, as well as senior figures in health and innovation working within diversity and inclusion and also HR staff in the sector. Carers and patients within this community who have an interest in health innovation will also benefit from this event.

- The Shuri Network – the community for BAME women, building inclusive leadership in digital health launching across the north
- BAME Innovators and Entrepreneurs: The role and the challenges for healthtech entrepreneurs
