In Conversation: Creating the Vision for an Inclusive Economy

REGISTER

COVID-19 has both highlighted and exacerbated the enduring inequalities and deprivation experienced by many local communities. Now, as the focus shifts to the wider economic and social recovery, local health and care leaders are presented with significant challenges and new opportunities to proactively address these long-standing issues. In response, we have seen leaders from across systems and places come together in partnership to re-build a more inclusive economy and a better future for all.

To raise awareness and champion emerging practice, the NHS Confederation and NHS England and NHS Improvement are hosting two webinars to explore the role of the NHS for place-based economic recovery, optimising social value delivery and addressing local health inequalities.

On Thursday 10th September at 1pm, join cross-sector leaders from Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership for an ‘interactive conversation’ to discuss how we can achieve an inclusive economy and tackle health inequalities by re-defining economic success through the health and wellbeing of our communities. Hear from our guest speakers about the strategic and innovative approaches they are developing; share your experiences and ideas; and together we will explore the opportunities and challenges of delivering collaborative approaches to ‘build back better’.

This session will be an interactive conversation between guest speakers and webinar participants.

Speakers include:

  • Dave Sweeney, Executive Director of Partnerships, Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership
  • Alan Yates, Chair, Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership
  • Richard Stubbs, CEO, Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network
