Webinar: Problem areas in thromboprophylaxis and COVID-19
As the UK manages the COVID-19 pandemic, Thrombosis UK is leading a webinar that will consider the natural history of COVID-19 and COVID pneumonia and the evidence available to inform decision making in the role of:
(i) extended thromboprophylaxis following discharge from hospital for COVID-19,
(ii) what considerations should be given when managing unwell COVID-19 patients in the community and care homes and
(iii) guidance on identifying COVID-19 positive patients who are at high risk of VTE.
Existing guidance, practice and emerging evidence will all be considered through presentations and discussion with opportunity to pose questions.
The webinar is led by leading experts in this field and has received CPD accreditation from the Royal College of Pathologists.
