Humber – Finance for Growth
Running until May 2021, the Finance for Growth scheme will deliver an intensive programme of support for SMEs in the Humber region, enabling businesses to become investment ready and access the opportunities for growth afforded by the right package of finance. Support packages of between £1,000 and £15,000 are available.

Sheffield City Region Growth Hub Enhancement Programme
The Sheffield City Region Growth Hub Enhancement Project is a business support project targeted at SME’s with growth potential in the Sheffield City Region. The project offers three support streams as below:
Specialist Grant Support
A number of 50% grants towards intensive specialist support for individual businesses to aid in business growth. The grants scheme will support specialist consultancy projects ranging in value from £2,500 – £10,000. This strand of bespoke, practical support will be provided by external private sector consultants and advisors who will assist a business in achieving their growth objectives.
There will be a programme of masterclasses held across the region, whose themes will be responsive to the demands and the needs of businesses that are based in the Sheffield City Region, in order to assist the businesses in achieving their growth potential.
Key Account Manager Support
There are 11 Key Account Managers based across the 4 South Yorkshire Local Authority Teams who are available to deliver intensive one-to-one assistance to businesses to help with business growth.

Humber LEP Spark Fund – Innovation Vouchers and Grants for Research and Development
Brand new funding opportunity for ambitious, growth oriented local SMEs that are seeking to grow market share, improve productivity and create new employment opportunities through the development and subsequent commercialisation of new and innovative products and services.
Up to £50k of grant funding is available to support SMEs to become more innovative and undertake research and development projects.

Skills Development Grant – RISE Sheffield City Region
RISE is a major initiative running across the whole city region. RISE aims to increase graduate employment in small and medium sized enterprises. Our vision is to bring together graduates who want to work hard and do great things, with businesses with energy and vision who are already looking for fresh talent.
RISE is a collaboration between Sheffield Hallam University, The University of Sheffield, Sheffield City Region (in particular, the Growth Hub and local authorities) and the private sector.

Business Growth Grant – Leeds LEP
Grants of between £10,000 and £500,000 are available to small and medium sized businesses who are based in the Leeds City Region.  Companies need to be within one of their core sectors, which includes life sciences and related industries.

AD:VENTURE – Leeds City Region Business Support
The ERDF AD:VENTURE programme provides dedicated funded support to eligible pre-start, young and new businesses in the Leeds City Region.
The programme offers intensive, bespoke guidance to small and medium sized businesses under 3 years old. Support available includes; expert mentoring, events and workshops, finance brokerage, grants, business incubator space, one to one consultancy projects and peer to peer learning.

Sheffield City Region Business Investment Funds
Grants of £25,000 upwards are available to SMEs based within the Sheffield City Region. Grants are available for capital expenditure and applicants should demonstrate that their project would be unable to go ahead without access to funding.

Intern Grant – Postgraduate Advantage Scheme
The Postgraduate Advantage Scheme (PAS) is open to charities, public sector organisations and SMEs.
By offering a project through the scheme, you can recruit a PAS intern to work with you for 100 hours. The University of Sheffield will provide a bursary of £1000, payable directly to the student.

Digital Developer Grant – Unreal Dev Grants
Epic has created a $5,000,000 development fund to provide financial grants to innovative projects. Awards range from $5,000 to $50,000, and there are no strings attached: you continue to own your IP, are free to publish however you wish, and can use the grant funds without any restrictions or obligations to Epic.

Export Expansion Grant
ERDF funding for export related projects. Key features are:
•Grant intervention rate 60%
•Minimum grant £1000 –therefore minimum project value £1666 for eligible activities
•Maximum grant £5000
•Timeframe: Expenditure must be defrayed and claimed within six months of grant award
•Any successful application will include an element of job creation
