Horizon 2020 Event: EU Funding, Research and Collaboration Opportunities

The Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) would like to invite you to an event hosted by the AHSN Network, the Knowledge Transfer Network, the Medical Research Council and the NHS European Office, which is aimed at increasing and encouraging collaboration nationally and internationally on health research and innovation. The intention is to bring SMEs and NHS organisations together with the academic community.

Venue: HORIZON, Leeds

Date: 27th October, 9am – 4pm

The event will promote funding opportunities available for health, demographic change and
wellbeing under Horizon 2020, the EU’s overarching research and innovation funding programme.
Participants will be given useful pointers and tips on achieving success in the highly competitive
Horizon 2020 environment and will gain an idea of topics to be funded in the 2016‐2017 period.
Attendees will also receive signposting to organisations that can support ideas and collaborations.
The afternoon sessions will be interactive and participatory, with delegates encouraged to give
short introductions on the research and innovation work currently conducted by their organisation
with the aim of facilitating partnerships and discussion.

There will be parallel afternoon sessions on:
 *Support for public procurement of innovation
 *Managing ethical, legal and administrative requirements in EU grants
