Incredibly proud to be shortlisted for award

The Yorkshire & Humber AHSN is delighted to be shortlisted for a Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Excellence in Patient Care Award.

We have been shortlisted in the Quality Improvement category for work on our Mortality Review Programme.

Our programme, delivered through our Improvement Academy, supports the uptake of the retrospective case record review methodology called the Structured Judgement Review (SJR). This method, developed and validated by Professor Allen Hutchinson from the Improvement Academy, allows Trusts to learn about both the good and not so good care in their health processes. Analysis of the review themes is used to inform and drive care quality improvement initiatives.

Beverley Slater, Director at the Improvement Academy said: ‘’This is fantastic news. We are incredibly proud of our work and that it is being recognised by the programme being shortlisted for awards at three different ceremonies.”

The awards recognise the work of organisations to improve patient care and winners will be announced at a presentation ceremony in London on 29 May 2018.

We have also been shortlisted for several other awards which you can read about here.
