Job Vacancy: PR Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PR Officer to join the marketing and communications team at the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN).

The Yorkshire & Humber AHSN is one of fifteen AHSNs across England, established by NHS England in 2013 to spread of innovation at pace and scale – improving health and generating economic growth.

As the only bodies that connect NHS and academic organisations, local authorities, the third sector and industry, we are catalysts that create the right conditions to facilitate change across whole health and social care economies, with a clear focus on improving outcomes for patients.

This means we are uniquely positioned to identify and spread health innovation at pace and scale; driving the adoption and spread of innovative ideas and technologies across large populations.

The PR officer will be joining the Yorkshire & Humber AHSN at an exciting time of our five year licence, with the communication and engagement strategy of the organisation being at heart of our future success.

The role of the PR officer will be to research and write articles and case studies which can be used as press releases, web articles and used in newsletters for distribution to targeted media and key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have excellent copywriting and proof reading skills and experience of using digital technologies such as Mailchimp and WordPress.

Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a Journalism or Public Relations or related subject, you will have at least twelve months experience of working in a similar environment and delivering successful PR campaigns using a range of channels including press and digital.
