We are delighted to support this year’s Medipex NHS Innovation Awards & Showcase 2021 as Silver Sponsors. The awards are designed to help identify and celebrate innovative activities of NHS staff and their collaborators.

As Silver Sponsors, we will be holding a breakout session with a focus on adoption into the NHS. The AHSN’s function is to accelerate the adoption and spread of technologies which have the potential to improve patient outcomes. The session will provide innovators with an overview of what they need to have in place for their innovation to be ‘adoption ready’ including evidence requirements, building a value proposition and the importance of health economic data. The session will be hosted by members of the AHSN’s Enterprise and Innovation Team who have a wealth of experience in supporting healthcare innovators with their adoption strategy.

This year’s categories include:

• Management of long-term conditions

Innovations relating to the better management of long-term conditions (including Long Covid) to improve services and patient outcomes.

• Preventing or reducing hospital attendance

Innovations designed to reduce pressures on hospital services.

• Delivering benefits through diagnosis and screening

Innovations designed to improve the detection and diagnosis of health conditions or disease.

• Improved treatments and pathways

Innovations that are designed to improve the outcomes for patients who have been diagnosed with a health condition.

How To Enter

The competition is open to NHS staff or anyone working with an NHS employee (e.g. a company, university or individual). Please note that entries must be led by an NHS organisation, but collaborative projects with universities or industry who may be outside the Yorkshire and Humber and East Midland regions are welcomed.

There is a prize fund of £1000 per category which will be awarded to each of the winners to spend on their innovative project.

The Awards Event

Finalists will be invited to attend a virtual awards ceremony – #Medipexawards2021 – on the 22nd of September 2021 when the winners will be announced.
