The Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network is helping to support the annual Pharmacy Management Forum in London on 10th November, along with other AHSNs.
Tony Jamieson, from the Yorkshire & Humber AHSN, will be discussing the Polypharmacy Project.
Tony said: ‘’The insights that we have gained from this Safer Prescribing for Frailty project have been invaluable. We have a much deeper understanding of the barriers to reducing medication burden and discovered practical ways to improve care.”
”Patients have loved it and our practice teams have loved it too. I’m delighted to be able to share the story with colleges at the Pharmacy Management Conference and I hope to inspire others to challenge the culture of over-prescribing.’’
This year’s theme will focus on Patient Centred Pharmacy, looking at the use of medicines and their impact on patient care.
The event will be comprised of 24 satellite sessions which delegates can choose from and is free to all NHS professionals.
