The UKRI Healthy Ageing Catalyst Awards offer £62,500 (fEC) (£50k UKRI + the remainder from the host institution) along with a programme of support in partnership between UKRI and Zinc to translate innovative ideas into workable products and services that help people live healthy lives for longer.
Anyone who is interested can sign up for one of the Discover the Catalyst Award events to find out how a Catalyst Award could help you make an impact. If you’re interested but can’t join one of the events, please get in touch with the Zinc team, who would love to hear from you. They also have a Catalyst Counsel event in December for people who are keen to know more about the programme in order to recommend people to apply.
They are looking for proposals that turn innovative ideas into practical and scalable solutions that support people as they age. Applicants do not have to be researchers focused on ageing, but the proposal should address problems related to healthy ageing. Applications will be open to UK based researchers working at any career level in a variety of disciplines, including a wide range of voices, viewpoints, and experiences. Applications are particularly welcomed from researchers in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) and early career researchers.
